Russian President Vladimir Putin has challenged the West to a duel, suggesting it choose a target in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, amass defense systems and try to repel a Russian attack.

Axar.az reports that Putin made this statement during a year-end conference.

Let them choose a target, say, in Kyiv, and amass their air and missile defense systems there, while we will launch an Oreshnik missile at the target. We’ll see what happens. We are ready for such an experiment," Putin said.
