President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, has stated that Washington should have control over Greenland.

Axar.az reports that he made this statement on his "Truth Social" page.

I am pleased to announce Ken Howery as my choice for United States Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark. For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity. Ken will do a wonderful job in representing the interests of the United States," he stated.

It should be noted that during Trump's first presidency, American media reported that he had expressed interest in the possibility of acquiring Greenland, which is part of Denmark and has broad autonomous rights.
