Iranian companies have canceled all flights to Syria until January 22, as air traffic between the two countries has not been approved by the new authorities in Damascus.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, Hossein Purfarnaz.

"Currently, flights to Syria are banned until January 22. However, there are no restrictions regarding Lebanon," he said.

It is worth noting that Syria had previously announced that it had closed its airspace to Iranian planes.
