Nine countries to join BRICS as partners in 2025

Russia has received confirmation from nine countries about their readiness to become partners of the BRICS intergovernmental association, with this status to be granted from January 1, 2025.

According to Axar.az, this was stated by Yuri Ushakov, Assistant to the President of Russia on international affairs.

He noted that documents confirming readiness to become BRICS partner states have been received from Belarus, Bolivia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda, and Uzbekistan.

The Kremlin representative added that these countries will officially receive this status starting January 1.
