A single-engine light aircraft has crashed in Stuttgart, Germany.

Axar.az reports that the 77-year-old pilot's attempt to land the "Cessna" plane at the airport was unsuccessful due to thick fog. As a result of the crash, the pilot sustained minor injuries, while the 70-year-old passenger was seriously injured.

Following the incident, flight operations at the airport were suspended for about an hour and a half. A total of around 20 rescue, firefighting brigades, and police forces were deployed to the crash site, and an investigation is underway.
