German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock is on a visit to Damascus, the capital of Syria, together with her French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot.

Axar.az reports that Kaya Kallas, the High Representative of the European Union (EU) for foreign affairs and security policy, wrote on her X account.

It was emphasized that the heads of MFA represent the EU.

K. Kallas also conveyed his messages to the new leadership of Syria:

"It is extremely important to respect the principles agreed with regional actors and ensure the protection of all civilians, including minorities."
