Under the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, a convoy of 10 trucks carrying 200 tons of humanitarian aid has arrived at the Turkiye-Syria border.

Axar.az reports that the convoy that arrived at the Sarp border crossing in the Artvin province of Turkiye was then directed south to the Kilis province, which is near the Syrian border. After customs procedures at the "Chobanbey" border checkpoint, the convoy will head into Syria.

The humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan will be unloaded at warehouses in Syria managed by the Turkish government’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) and distributed to families in need through AFAD. The aid will primarily reach the residents of Idlib province, as well as those in Syrian territories cleared of terrorists through Turkiye’s “Euphrates Shield,” “Peace Spring,” and “Olive Branch” operations.

In addition to food products, Azerbaijan has sent children's clothing and other essential supplies to Syria.
