Iran’s Parliament Speaker admits governance failures

The Speaker of Iran's Parliament, Mohammad Ghalibaf, has acknowledged public dissatisfaction with the government.

Axar.az reports that "Azad Iran" has shared this information.

According to the report, he admitted to the inefficiency of the country's administrative system.

"Despite possessing 19.5% of global oil and gas reserves and ranking first worldwide, it is illogical that we lack electricity in the summer and face gas shortages in the winter. It is clear that there are problems in our governance. We must accept that today people complain about our leadership in their daily lives. This indicates that we have not fulfilled our responsibilities properly," said Ghalibaf.
