Austin: Ukraine conflict exposed U.S. defense gaps

The conflict in Ukraine has allowed Western countries to identify, among other things, the shortcomings of the military-industrial complex, but their elimination has not yet been fully completed.

Axar.az reports that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin made this statement.

"The Ukrainian crisis revealed some shortcomings of our defense industry base. We still have a lot of work to do. Still, we have boosted our defense industry by investing nearly $70 billion domestically to produce weapons for Ukraine and increase our stockpiles,” Austin said.
