After the overthrow of President Bashar al-Assad, the Syrian government plans to make education free in the country.

Axar.az reports that the transitional government's Minister of Education, Nazir al-Qadri, said this in an interview with the Al-Jazeera TV channel.

"The government is trying to make education free. This is the right of every Syrian. We are working on a new educational project that meets the wishes of the Syrian people," said the head of the country's Ministry of Education.
