Due to US sanctions, three tankers carrying more than 2 million barrels of Russian oil remained in China's eastern waters.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by "Bloomberg".

Two of the ships were said to be waiting on the coast and the third in the Yellow Sea because the company that manages the ports of Shandong province has banned it from accepting ships under sanctions.

It is also noted that a ship carrying liquefied gas from the Russian company Gazprom is waiting near the Spanish coast.

It should be recalled that on January 10, the United States imposed blocking sanctions against two of Russia's largest oil exporting companies, Gazprom Neft and Surgutneftegaz. Carrying out financial transactions using tens of dollars or the American financial system is prohibited. Great Britain has imposed sanctions against the same companies.
