Iran and Russia hold secret talks on nuclear ambitions

Ali Larijani, a senior advisor to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, made multiple flights to Moscow with the goal of strengthening Iran's military and defense capabilities, including to seek assistance and expertise in developing its nuclear program.

Axar.az reports that this information was provided by The Times.

According to the report, Larijani has made several secret trips to Russia in recent months and has conducted closed-door negotiations with senior Russian officials to seek assistance from Moscow regarding Iran's nuclear program and air defense systems.

Publication also noted that Larijani is Iran’s former parliamentary speaker, nuclear negotiator and a trusted regime loyalist. He is a representative of Khamenei who is extremely close to the regime, with a reputation for getting things done. His secret flights to Moscow demonstrate that the relations between Iran and Russia are deepening and growing further.
