Russia to implement stricter migration laws from February 5

Starting from February 5, changes related to the improvement of migration policy will come into effect in the Russian Federation.

Axar.az reports that this was announced by Vyacheslav Volodin, the Speaker of the State Duma, on his Telegram channel.

"A law outlining the procedure for the expulsion of illegal migrants will come into effect. Those who do not comply with the legislation of the Russian Federation or have lost the right to legally reside here should not be in our country. This measure is aimed at increasing security," wrote the Speaker.

Volodin also noted that, starting from February 5, administrative responsibility will be applied for violations of the established rules for entering or leaving the Russian Federation, as well as for providing prohibited services to migrants listed in the Registry.

It is worth noting that a significant number of Azerbaijanis live in Russia, many of whom do not have legal residence permits.
