Russian Su-24 enters Polish airspace

Poland's army said a Russian Su-24 aircraft briefly violated airspace over the territorial waters of Poland.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Poland’s Armed Forces Operational Command.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 11, at 02:09 PM over the eastern part of the Gulf of Gdańsk.

According to the Polish command, the incident was caused by a malfunction in the Russian aircraft's navigation system. The plane "violated Polish airspace to a maximum depth of 6.5 km and remained there for 1 minute and 12 seconds."

"The aircraft's flight was monitored by the radar systems of the Polish Armed Forces. The flight path was immediately altered following the intervention of a Russian Armed Forces navigator," the statement reads.
