An American intelligence assessment reported by The Wall Street Journal suggests that Israel is considering striking Iran’s nuclear sites this year, aiming to exploit Iran’s vulnerabilities.

Axar.az, citing JPost, reports that the assessment, completed in the final days of the Biden administration, indicates that Israel may seek U.S. backing, with former President Trump seen as a potential supporter.

U.S. military sources say American weapons and support would be crucial for the success of such strikes.

Meanwhile, Iran continues to expand its nuclear capabilities, raising Israeli concerns about a shrinking window of opportunity. The Israeli government and military have not commented on the report. Trump, in a recent interview, stated he prefers negotiating a non-nuclear deal with Iran over military action.
