Turkish President warmly welcomed in Pakistan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife Emine Erdogan have arrived in Pakistan for an official visit.

Axar.az reports that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan were warmly welcomed by Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and cabinet members on their arrival in Capital Islamabad.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Islamabad on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. His visit includes high-level engagements aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Turkiye.

President of Turkiye is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Ministers, senior government officials and corporate leaders. During his visit, the Turkish president will co-chair the seventh meeting of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council alongside the Pakistani Prime Minister.

The meeting will conclude with a joint declaration and many agreements. Memorandums of Understanding between the two countries are expected to be signed after the parleys. The two leaders will also address a joint press conference.
