In order to eliminate the existing disparity, Azerbaijan has decided to make certain adjustments to the operations of foreign media representations and branches in the country.

Axar.az reports that, citing Caliber.az, these adjustments will specifically affect "Sputnik Azerbaijan," operating in the country as a branch of the MIA "Russia Today," as well as "BBC" (BBC News Azerbaijan).

To address the existing disparity between the representation of Azerbaijani and Russian state news agencies in Russia and Azerbaijan, respectively, the number of MIA "Russia Today" correspondents in Azerbaijan will be equal to the number of "Azertac" correspondents operating in Russia.

Currently, this involves one staff position.
