The new Syrian government has officially lifted the ban on Hamas, which was imposed during the Assad era.

Axar.az informs that Turkish media reported this citing a Hamas representative.

It was stated that the President of the transitional government, Ahmed al-Sharaa, recently restored Hamas' offices in Syria and returned properties confiscated by the Assad regime to the organization.

It was also noted that Hamas officials will visit Syria in the coming days to meet with Ahmed al-Sharaa.
