Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received a delegation led by the Chief of the General Staff of the Hungarian Defense Forces, Professor General Gabor Borondi, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.

It was reported that during the meeting held at the ministry, the minister, expressing satisfaction with the current state of military cooperation between the countries, particularly appreciated Hungary's support for Azerbaijan at all levels. Speaking about the work done in the field of army building in Azerbaijan, the Defense Minister emphasized that there are all opportunities for further development of strategic cooperation between the countries.

General G. Borondi, in turn, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the hospitality shown. He noted the positive impact of such visits and meetings in developing relations based on mutual trust and friendship. The meeting discussed prospects of military cooperation and other issues of interest.

At the official welcoming ceremony held at the General Headquarters of the Azerbaijani Army, the Chiefs of the General Staff of both countries passed in front of the guard of honor. The national anthems of the Republics of Azerbaijan and Hungary were played. General G. Böröndi signed the “Book of Honor” by the protocol.

At the meeting, a detailed exchange of views was held on the current state of cooperation in the military field between Azerbaijan and Hungary and its further expansion in the future, and the importance of mutual exchange of experience, including joint training to increase the professionalism of military personnel, was noted.
