Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received a delegation led by the rector of the National Defense University (NDU) of the brotherly country, Professor Erhan Afyoncu, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan to participate in the High Dialogue Meeting between the Azerbaijani-Turkish National Defense Universities.

Axar.az was informed about this by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.

It was noted that the guests first visited the Alley of Honor and visited the graves of the National Leader, Heydar Aliyev, and Zarifa Aliyeva, paying tribute to their memories. Then, the delegation visited the graves of the heroic sons of the Motherland who gave their lives for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of our country and the Turkish martyrdom in the Alley of Martyrs and laid wreaths.

Welcoming the guests at the meeting held at the Ministry of Defense, the Minister expressed his pleasure to see them in our country. He stated that the existing military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkiye continues and develops in the field of military education, as well as in all areas.

Professor A. Afyoncu, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the sincere attitude and hospitality shown and expressed his satisfaction with being on a visit to our country. The guest drew attention to the positive impact of our relations in the fields of science and education on strengthening the modern national personnel potential of the armies of both brotherly countries.

Later, the First Deputy Minister of Defense - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, met with the guests and spoke about the mutual benefits of the High Dialogue Meeting for the military educational institutions of both countries, as well as discussed the current state of cooperation in the field of military education between our countries and issues of further expansion and development in the future.

During the meeting, a wide exchange of views was also held on several topics of mutual interest.
