A telephone conversation took place between US President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Axar.az informs that the Anadolu Agency reported on this.

During the telephone conversation, Erdogan said that his country would continue to take steps to develop cooperation with the United States in many areas, especially in the defense industry.

In addition, Erdogan stressed that he supports Trump's position on ending the war in Ukraine and highly appreciates the negotiation process with Iran. The leaders also discussed Gaza and Syria.

Erdogan invited Trump to an official visit to Turkiye.
