Another step has been taken towards the return of our enclave villages in Tavush province.
Axar.az informs that Armenian media reported this concerning journalist, Voskan Sargsyan, from Tavush province.
It was reported that on May 5, Tavush Governor Hayk Galumyan adopted a decision to establish a commission to pay compensation to citizens for real estate at the expense of funds allocated by the Armenian government's Resolution No. 474-N dated April 23, 2025:
“The governor appointed himself the chairman of that committee, and five officials from the Tavush regional administration as members. So what does the government's resolution No. 474-N dated April 23, 2025, say? This makes additions and changes to the appendix to the government's resolution “On measures to ensure the implementation of the 2025 state budget of the Republic of Armenia” dated December 27, 2024. Paragraph 2 of that resolution is confidential.
This could mean one thing: amendments were made to the 2025 state budget so that monetary compensation would be provided to the owners of the territories transferred from Tavush region to Azerbaijan.”
It was emphasized that after the return of the villages of Sofulu, Barkhudarlu, and Yukhari Eskipara, which were enclaves of Azerbaijan during the USSR and "previously inhabited by Azerbaijanis," roads will be built to these villages, and compensation will be provided for those roads.
"It is no coincidence that recently, Armenian military personnel have been clearing the areas near the station from mines and detonating the discovered mines," Sargsyan wrote.
