Germany enhances military aid to Ukraine

Germany has updated the list of weapons supplied to Ukraine.

Axar.az informs that this can be seen from the list of military assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces published on the German government's website.

Thus, in addition to the aid package, 56 MRAP armored vehicles, missiles for the IRIS-T SLM, missiles for the IRIS-T SLS, 300 HF-1 attack drones, etc. were included.

In addition, the new package also includes shells for the Leopard 1 tanks and the Marder infantry fighting vehicles, 41 thousand ammunition for the Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled gun, 4 Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery mounts, 50 thousand 155 mm artillery shells, 2 thousand 122 mm shells. Berlin also provided Kyiv with 51 Vector reconnaissance UAVs, 245 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones, small arms (rifles, machine guns, and assault rifles), and ammunition, along with spare parts.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that the Bundestag should adopt a decision that would allow for additional spending on supporting Ukraine outside the federal budget. He explained the need for additional spending for Kyiv by the introduction of a state of emergency for the budget following Article 115, paragraph 2 of the Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany.
