US President Donald Trump's special representative for Russia and Ukraine, Kate Kellogg, will join the negotiating team to resolve the conflict.

Axar.az reports that Yuri Ushakov, the Russian president's foreign policy aide, said this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

"He will contact the Ukrainians and the Europeans, and a special person or a group of special representatives will be allocated for the Russian-American line," he said.

Ushakov added that Russian President Vladimir Putin will also appoint representatives for contacts with Washington.

It should be noted that Ushakov said that a Russian-American special group will be created to resolve the Ukraine issue.
