The fifth round of U.S.-Iran nuclear talks, held in Rome and mediated by Oman, ended with some progress but no breakthrough.

Axar.az, citing Axios, reports that the main sticking point remains Iran’s demand for domestic uranium enrichment, which the U.S. opposes.

Despite ongoing efforts, including ideas proposed by Omani Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi, both sides acknowledged the need for further negotiation.

The U.S. described the talks as “constructive” and confirmed plans to continue discussions. Meanwhile, Israel remains highly skeptical, preparing for a potential military strike on Iran’s nuclear sites if diplomacy fails. Iran has warned it may relocate its nuclear materials to avoid a possible Israeli attack.
