The seventh consular consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Ukraine were held in Baku.
Axar.az reports that the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed about this.
It was noted that the Azerbaijani delegation at the consular consultations was led by Emil Safarov, Head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Ukrainian delegation was led by Vladislav Kanevsky, Head of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
The consultations were attended by officials from the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Science and Education, the State Committee for Work with Diaspora, the State Migration Service, as well as employees of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the consultations, the current state and prospects of relations between the two countries in the consular field, as well as opportunities for expanding the bilateral contractual and legal framework, were discussed.
Issues of expanding cooperation in protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine were touched upon, and views were exchanged on best practices in the implementation of digital services and processes in the consular field, as well as on the visa and migration policies of both countries.
At the end of the event, a protocol was signed on the results of the discussions held within the framework of the consultations.
