Russian Ombudsman appeals to Prosecutor General’s Office

Russia’s Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) Tatyana Moskalkova has filed a formal request with the Prosecutor General’s Office regarding the recent incident in Yekaterinburg involving attacks on Azerbaijani nationals.

Axar.az informs, citing APА, Moskalkova stated that she appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office to verify the legality and validity of the detentions, as well as to ensure the rights of both the suspects and the victims were upheld.

She noted that her Azerbaijani counterpart, Sabina Aliyeva, had reached out to her concerning the matter.

Recall that Sabina Aliyeva previously submitted an official appeal to the Russian Ombudsman regarding the attacks on Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg.
