A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Campi Flegrei region near Naples, Italy. This is the most powerful earthquake recorded in the region in the last 40 years.

Axar.az reports that the epicenter of the earthquake, which was centered in the town of Bacoli, was located at a depth of 5 kilometers. There were successive earthquakes of various magnitudes in the region.

The natural phenomenon caused panic among the population, and people left their homes. Train traffic in the region was temporarily suspended.

The earthquake was also felt in the city of Naples.
