A swift conclusion to the Armenian‑Azerbaijani peace process is important for the EU.

Axar.az informs that this was stated by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

“Of course, we are encouraged by the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” she said during a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, when asked about the urgency of signing the peace treaty.

“And of course we would like to see that process completed as soon as possible. I think that given the global situation, we have an even greater need for stability,” Kallas continued.

“Certainly, I raised this issue during my visit to Baku. This is in our interests — when we discuss interconnectivity and explore various possibilities for both countries, including in terms of connecting Central Asia with Europe. It is indeed important that this process concludes as quickly as possible,” she emphasized.
