Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei criticized IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi’s insistence on inspector access, calling it illogical and unrealistic, especially just days after an alleged attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities.

Axar.az, citing Shahre Khabar, reports that he stated that expecting immediate normalization of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA is neither reasonable nor practical.

Baghaei stressed that no report or resolution from the Agency can legally justify aggression by Israel or the U.S. and held the IAEA partly accountable for enabling such incidents.

He emphasized that one of the most critical issues now is ensuring the safety and security of IAEA inspectors, particularly as Iran has yet to complete a full assessment of the damage caused.
