Today, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Hisham Muhammad Naghi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic service in our country.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed his gratitude for the ambassador's contribution to the development of relations between the two countries during his diplomatic service in our country.
Noting that the relations between Azerbaijan and Egypt, based on historical friendship and brotherhood, are of particular importance, the Minister highly appreciated the cooperation between our countries in political, economic, cultural, and other fields. The successful cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and in multilateral platforms such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and D-8, was emphasized with satisfaction.
It was noted at the meeting that the mutual official visits of the leaders of the two countries in 2023 and 2024 gave a special impetus to the relations between the two countries. The activities of the Joint Commission on Intergovernmental Economic, Technical and Scientific Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Arab Republic of Egypt, the intensification of political consultation mechanisms between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, and other issues were discussed. It was also emphasized that there is great potential for further expansion of relations in the fields of economy, trade, and tourism.
Egyptian Ambassador Hisham Muhammad Naghi expressed his gratitude for the attention and support shown to him during his tenure in Azerbaijan.
