Hajiyev meets NATO officials in Brussels

Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, met with the Deputy Secretary General of the alliance, Radmila Shekerinska, as part of his visit to NATO headquarters in Brussels.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the Azerbaijani representation in the organization.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of the Azerbaijan-NATO partnership, prospects for future cooperation, including issues related to the regional and broader security environment.

The contribution of NATO to peacekeeping operations, as well as to the energy security of allied and partner states, was emphasized, and the role of Azerbaijan as a long-term reliable partner of the alliance was emphasized.

As part of the visit, Hikmet Hajiyev also met with Lorenz Meyer-Minnemann, First Deputy Director of the Personal Office of the NATO Secretary General.
