We are ready to open a consulate in Shusha or any other city in Karabakh, based on Azerbaijan’s decision.

Axar.az reports that Birol Akgün, Turkiye’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan, stated this.

“We submitted a request in 2021 regarding the opening of a Turkish consulate in Shusha. However, there is still no consulate from any country in Shusha. This is a decision that will be made within the framework of Azerbaijan’s sovereign rights. We are ready to open a consulate in Shusha or any city in Karabakh if Azerbaijan decides so,” the ambassador noted.
