The substantive discussion of the Ukrainian issue between Moscow and Washington, which has been ongoing since the beginning of the year, is very useful and yields results.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"The resumption of direct dialogue by the current US administration is fully consistent with normal diplomatic practice, and its refusal during the Joe Biden era is contrary to common sense," Lavrov stressed.

Lavrov noted that Ukraine agreed to talks in Istanbul at the insistence of US President Donald Trump.
