On August 1, Azerbaijan’s delegation to the OSCE issued a protest statement.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Vienna, Rovshan Sadigbayli, shared the news on his social media account.

It should be noted that, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act, the OSCE Chairmanship reaffirmed that the organization’s principles remain in force and should continue to serve as the foundation for security and stability in the OSCE region.

In response, the Azerbaijani delegation stated that due to the OSCE’s inaction, Azerbaijan was compelled to restore its sovereignty and territorial integrity:

“Although the OSCE failed to carry out its mandate for conflict resolution, Azerbaijan restored justice and its territorial integrity, creating a historic opportunity for peace and stability in the South Caucasus.”
