President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has sent a congratulatory letter to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Axar.az reports that the congratulatory letter states:

"Dear Ilham Heydar oglu.

I heartily congratulate you and all citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Independence Day.

Thanks to your constructive efforts, Azerbaijan is rightly proud of its rapidly developing economy, the steady increase in the living standards of its citizens, and the significant achievements it has made in the international arena.

The systematic cooperation between governments, parliaments, and regions, which guarantees the further strengthening of the Minsk-Baku strategic partnership, and our regular contacts are clear evidence of this. These relations meet the interests of both states.

I am confident that Belarusian-Azerbaijani cooperation will continue to actively develop on the basis of the traditions of friendship and mutual understanding.

On this holiday, I wish you and your family good health, well-being, and all Azerbaijanis peace and progress."
