A new law in Denmark has come into force today, July 1, which stipulates that women will be called up for military service at the age of 18, along with men.

Axar.az informs, which were reported by the Daily Express.

As Colonel Kenneth Strom, head of the Danish conscription program, said, the decision made by the Danish parliament in early June is based on the "current security situation."

"They (women - ed..) can participate in NATO's collective deterrence. Increasing the number of conscripts will simply lead to an increase in combat power," he noted.
