Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has apologized to his compatriots for the country's delegation's support for the UN General Assembly draft resolution on the protection of Ukraine's territorial integrity.

Axar.az informs that according to Vučić, the Serbian delegation, which previously voted in favor of key UN resolutions supporting Ukraine, made a mistake this time. He stressed that the responsibility lies entirely with them:

"I do not think that we should flatter any power - neither the Russians nor the Americans. When it came to the US resolution, Serbia abstained, it voted correctly."

It should be noted that on February 24, on the third anniversary of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the UN General Assembly approved two resolutions on the war. The resolution supported by Serbia was drafted by Ukraine and European countries. It condemns Russia's aggression and demands a quick end to the war and compensation for the damage caused to Ukraine.

This resolution was opposed by 18 countries, including the United States and Russia.

The second resolution was introduced by the United States. This resolution does not mention Russian aggression.
