A mass rally was held in front of the parliament building in the Greek capital, Athens, with the participation of 200,000 people.
Axar.az reports that the rally was held at the call of relatives of those who died in a terrible train accident 2 years ago.
It was reported that about 300,000 people joined the protest in the central Syntagma Square and the streets adjacent to it.
The protesters are demanding that the authorities conduct an objective investigation into the accident.
In addition, mass demonstrations were held in other cities of Greece on the anniversary of the tragedy.
It should be noted that on the night of February 28 to March 1, 2023, 57 people died and dozens were injured as a result of a collision between an Athens-Thessaloniki passenger train and a freight train in the city of Tempi.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing. Opposition parties and many citizens believe that information about the illegal transportation of an unknown flammable substance on the freight train is being concealed.
