Egypt's Investment Opportunities Platform has presented a project to build the world's largest green hydrogen plant in South Sinai.

Axar.az reports that the total cost of the project, which is planned to be built in partnership with the Ministry of Defense Industry, is $17 billion.

The plant, which will be located on a total area of ​​127 square kilometers, is expected to produce 400,000 tons of green hydrogen annually.

The first phase of the project is planned to be completed in 2030, the second phase in 2033, and the third phase in 2035.
