On March 3, an online meeting of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Azerbaijan.
Axar.az reports that the press service of the Georgian parliament published a statement on this.
It was reported that a joint committee meeting and a bureau meeting were held within the framework of the event, which was attended by parliamentarians of GUAM member states, and the final version of the final document was approved.
Tornike Chkheishvili, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs of the Georgian parliament, said in his speech that promoting sectoral cooperation between GUAM member states is always a step in the right direction. He emphasized that this contributes to the exploration of common opportunities and mutual development.
According to Chkheishvili, dialogue, exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as giving priority to new projects and initiatives, should be at the forefront.
At the end of the session, the final document of the Assembly - the Communiqué - was adopted.
The chairmanship of the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly passed from Azerbaijan to Georgia for one year.
