The Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, named after N. Tusi of the Ministry of Science and Education, has announced the space weather and forecast.
Axar.az reports that the observatory informed that the activity of the sun has partially weakened. The number of spots on the surface of the sun has decreased, and 139 spots are observed in 10 spot groups.
The maximum speed of the solar wind has increased to 829 km/sec. The maximum value of the interplanetary magnetic field in the Earth's orbit was 20 nT, and in the radial direction -10 nT. Currently, the speed of the solar wind is 494 km/sec, and the maximum value of the interplanetary magnetic field in the Earth's orbit is 7 nT, and in the radial direction - 3.80 nT.
The probability of observing auroras is 25 percent in high latitudes and 1 percent in middle latitudes.
The geomagnetic field will be unstable on March 3 due to the influence of High-Speed Coronal Hole Flows, and a G1 (weak) level geomagnetic storm is expected on March 4-5.
