Kazakhstan is committed to an objective and transparent investigation of the plane crash in Aktau.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Russia, Dauren Abayev.

The diplomat emphasized that the investigation should be open and honest:

"We have nothing to hide. We are for a fair investigation."

The ambassador also recalled that the investigation process was conducted in strict compliance with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and with the participation of representatives of Azerbaijan, Russia, and Brazil.

He noted that the initial report of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan on the plane crash has not yet established the guilt or responsibility of any party.

It should be noted that the Embraer 190 aircraft of the AZAL airline, flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed near the city of Aktau in western Kazakhstan on the morning of December 25, 2024. There were 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board. 29 of them survived. According to preliminary information, the plane crashed as a result of external physical and technical interference in Russian airspace.
