I think the annexation of Greenland will happen. We will have to come to an agreement on this issue.

Axar.az reports that US President Donald Trump said this on March 13 during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the Oval Office of the White House.

Trump did not say whether a military scenario was being considered but stressed the importance of reaching an agreement on Greenland.

He also added that Greenland is important to the US in terms of international security:

"I had not thought about it before, but I am discussing it with someone with great influence. Mark, it is a security issue. We have some 'favorites' traveling on the coast, and we have to be careful."
