Japan will deploy "GSDF Type-12" land-to-ship guided missiles with a range of 1000 km on Kusu Island due to China's potential invasion of Taiwan.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Japanese media.

The deployment of the missile is expected to begin in March 2026, and its purpose is to strengthen security around the Nansei Islands near Taiwan.

Additionally, the placement of the missiles on Japan's second-largest island will enable them to reach North Korea and China's coastal areas.
