Downing Street has publicly disagreed with Lammy's claim

Downing Street has publicly disagreed with Foreign Secretary David Lammy's claim that Israel has broken international law by blocking aid to Gaza.

Axar.az, citing the Guardian, reports that a spokesperson for the Prime Minister stated that Israel is "at risk" of breaching humanitarian law, contrary to Lammy’s assertion that it had already done so.

The disagreement followed Lammy’s comments in the House of Commons, which appeared to go further than the official government stance on this sensitive issue.

Lammy later acknowledged that he "could have been clearer" in his statement. The UK government has maintained its position that Israel's actions are at risk of breaching international humanitarian law but stopped short of declaring a definitive breach.
