In Turkiye, 1,133 suspects were detained for participating in illegal protests between March 19-23.

Axar.az reports that Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya mentioned this while discussing the unauthorized protests that started after the detention of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, prompted by the call of CHP leader Özgür Özel to take to the streets.

"Among those detained, individuals linked to 12 different terrorist organizations have been identified," said Yerlikaya.

The minister also noted that 123 police officers were injured during the clashes.

It should be noted that protests in Turkiye have been banned until March 27. However, CHP continues to organize rallies in support of İmamoğlu.
