Sanctions against Syria should be lifted.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

It was noted that steps should also be taken to restore stability in Syria:

"Turkiye will continue to support a comprehensive and inclusive political process, which is the cornerstone of establishing security and stability in Syria."

It was emphasized that the formation of the government demonstrates Syria's will to advance the political transition process. Official Ankara noted that it welcomed this decision.
