Armenia has decided not to sign the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) 2024 budget.

Axar.az reports that this information was provided by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Sputnik Armenia.

The Ministry has confirmed that Yerevan has officially notified the CSTO Secretariat that it will not participate in financing the organization. The Ministry added that, according to the organization’s internal procedures, information about the annual budget is not disclosed to the public.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksandr Pankin stated that if Armenia does not pay its membership fee by the end of 2025, CSTO member states may consider various scenarios for the development of the situation.

It is worth noting that Yerevan officially announced in May that it would refuse to allocate financial resources for the CSTO budget for 2024. However, representatives of the organization stated that Armenia's membership fee for 2025 would still be calculated.
