Tehran has summoned Switzerland's chargé d'affaires in Tehran, who represents Washington's interests in Iran, to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Axar.az informs that this was reported by "Tasnim."
It was stated that after Donald Trump warned of bombing Iran if no nuclear deal was reached, Iran summoned the Swiss representative to the Foreign Ministry and handed over a protest note to the diplomat.
During the meeting, the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s General Directorate for America, Isa Kamili, expressed Iran's objection to the Swiss chargé d'affaires, stating that Iran would firmly respond to such threats.
The Swiss diplomat assured that Iran’s protest would be conveyed to the U.S. soon.
It should be noted that the previous day, Donald Trump warned that if Tehran did not reach an agreement on its nuclear program, it would face an unprecedented bombing attack.
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, declared that if the U.S. president attacks Iran, he will face a powerful retaliation.
